Okay so here’s the deal.
Me and my cousin have different parenting styles and yesterday we got in an argument and decided we would see who is a better parent by trading children for 9 hours.
I reluctently gave her my 3 kids who are a lot younger than hers.
Her name is Sherrie so Sherries kids came about an hour ago and she is a very nice mom and lets them get away with alot. She has different styles than me and I dont know how to be like her.
I want the kids to like me but idk if they even kno who i am.
they are now watching tv and I have plans for later to go to a fun place called Soccer World.
By the way i am in Rochester right now so If you know of any fun things to do in Rochester Minnesota or anything that you do with your kids.
They are 8 and 5 and the oldest is a girl the youngest is a boy.
My kids are not even near this age so i have no idea what they like to do.

I **** having my kids watch tv but their mom lets them do it so i am just letting them instead of argueing, good plan though.
BTW it was a huge argument between us with her saying fine you try being a mom of them while I try to be a mom of yours and I said No I am not about to “hand Over” my 3 kids.
She was like Fine and all being immature and I am not only doing this to be immature I am doing this to take care of her kids so they can know me more.
I did not think my fellow friends on this website would diss me about being immature for having some fun.

Since it sounds like they don’t know you that well, take pictures and make some crafts with them. That way when they leave they’ll have something to take with them–and some photos as a reminder. It’s better than TV anyway….
They are both old enough to tell you what they want to do! Ask them what they would like to do? Sometimes kids are happy with watching TV.

No offense intended but you sound incredibly immature. Trading kids to see who has the better parenting style? Of course you’re going to parent your children differently you’re different people. You’re not their parents so you’re not going to be able to prove your parenting style by babysitting them. I’d entertain them and then return them to your counsin. You’re not going to prove anything to her about your parenting.
edit: my intent was not to “diss” you it was simply to point out the obvious, you cannot parent children who are not yours.
